Best bike lights for evening rides?

With the days getting shorter, I need to upgrade my bike lights for evening rides. I commute home around 6 PM and it's getting dark earlier.

Looking for recommendations for:

• A good front light that actually lights up the path (not just makes me visible)
• A bright rear light for visibility
• Preferably USB rechargeable
• Budget around $100-150 total

I've heard good things about Lezyne and Cygolite but haven't used either. Any Long Beach riders have experience with these or other brands? Where do you buy your lights locally?
